KIDS EXPRESS!

The Soka Children's Choir
(By Singapore Soka Association)
The children from Soka Children's Choir present English, Chinese and French songs at the Asian Children Ferstival. Come and enjoyable half an hour of wonderful songs and music.
12.30 pm – 12.45 pm
String Ensemble

Shuqun Primary School String Ensemble is proud to bring you their winning pieces. They won Silver awards in 2004, 2006 and a bronze award in 2008 for the Singapore Youth Festival Competition.

Seimpi Music School's Music Ensemble

Riding on the theme, MOVIES, Seimpi Music School presents an ensemble of medleys of music just for you!

In Unison, A Multi-Racial Dance

(By Performa Junior)
Performa Junior presents a dance entitled: In Unison: A Story of How Racial Harmony Day Came About. In the early 1960s there were a series of racial riots amongst the different races in Singapore and the government had to impose curfews to regain peace and harmony. That marked the 21st July to be Racial Harmony day. Come see this dance piece that won the first prize in the Inter racial Inter Religious harmony Music and Dance competition in the Pre School Category.

FUN & ACTION ZONE

Aikido Shinju-Kai
Understand Aikido as a martial art that harmonises instead of using strength against strength. Hands-on tryout on basic Aikido techniques and simple self-defense suitable for whole family to participate. Limited to 30 children between 5 – 12 years old on a first-come-first-served basis.

1.00 pm – 3.00 pm
In-Line Skating

Want to learn how to skate. Come on down and experience all the fun and action in this workshop. Limited to 30 children between 5 – 12 years old on a first-come-first-served basis.

4.00 pm – 6.00 pm
NewAge Taichi

Wushu has never been so fun & sporting with our Let's Play Wushu workshop!  Wushu fundamental movement skills which may seem difficult for beginners are incorporated & broken down into fun and challenging Wushu games play. Limited to 30 children between 5 – 12 years old on a first-come-first-served basis.

CREATIVITY ZONE
11.00 am – 12.00 pm
Craft-A-Bag
In this workshop, children will be shown how to use simple materials to create a trendy bag. Materials like denim jeans, pearls or beads in the house or unused accessories, there are endless variations to possible creations. Children can have fun creating new bags with basic techniques taught in the workshop. Limited to 30 children between 5 – 12 years old on a first-come-first-served basis.
2.00 pm – 3.00 pm
Craft-A-Flip-Flop

Add ribbons and laces to a plain slipper and presto, you have a trendy flip-flop! The child will never get bored with her flip-flop again once she learns how to tap into her creativity to give her flip-flops a makeover! Limited to 30 children between 5 – 12 years old on a first-come-first-served basis.

4.00 pm – 5.00 pm
Craft-A-T-Shirt

Children will learn to create unique T-shirt with this workshop. In this workshop, children will be taught to use the pre-cut materials plus their imagination to paste, stick and colour according to themes. Limited to 30 children between 5 – 12 years old on a first-come-first-served basis.
